I’m a radio ham so I make that my excuse. I wish I spent more time on SWL but I’m also busy on the air transmitting.
Bought a new ham rig, and I’ve checked it out for SWL and as many new ham radio rigs do, it works superbly as a BC receiver.
Still using my ham antennas and a couple of random long wires to receive BC. Not always the best but as a casual SWL that does SWL to relax I’m happy with the results. The ace point with this radio I can monitor my ham bands while listening to Broadcast as well.
BTW - if you do hear me on a ham band, send me an eQSL and I’ll confirm if it matches my log 
report via eQSL and I can confirm. Always happy to get feedback on how I’m doing
