Why this radio has multiple scan buttons?

That’s why i love my SDR, I have all the info about everything using SDR Console…
It’s also very useful when used as a Panadapter for my 10 to 12 meter transceiver.
The Sony can scan memories or band segments … you hold the shift button down and select the meters of the band …then hit scan … it will scan the meter band segment … also it will scan between memory 1 and memory 2 as you program those two with your scan area … even scan between two close frequencies …. The Sony was and is very versitile

I worked on many if the Sony recievers mostly the 2001D and 2010 … It would be wonderful to have these made again but sadly the components that made this radio great are no longer being be manufactured.
Closest for the money and performance is the Mlite 880 with a few modern additions like Bluetooth and the scope ! I have one and it performs as well as the Sony and a few things exceed the Sony … The Learning Curve is different as the receiver has many levels of the menu but it can be learned … I am thinking of making a users forum here in this group for many different radios and SDR recievers.

That’s a rock solid radio. A real radio, one worth tinkering with like this!
If you run FLdigi you on your computer and pump the audio from your radio into Fldigi then you can have a bigger spectrum scope.
