Misunderstanding

OK so we all have our own opinions but I wanna make it clear that as I mentioned before, that shortwave radio is a science of research in trial and error. I’d never try to cause trouble but I posted information based on my years of experience in shortwave radios example using various of homemade antennas using various of wires. But as I explained this before especially a friend who’s new to shortwave the theories and principals. My great grand father introduced me to shortwave radio and he taught me well. But there’s some people on social media will attack me on the views I have. That’s where a lot of misunderstanding comes in. I’m not here to argue or debate on the issue but I’m asking that the rude comments and attacks be stopped is all I’m asking.

Agreeing on disagreeing is part of human nature… I haven’t seen much “disrespect” here. The thing on my opinion, with the advent of social media loads of people don’t remember the Forum concept on the Internet and it’s interchange of ideas and experiences among the users specially the technical and niche Forums… People got more passive/aggressive with the fast scrolling and answering without much thought and on an impulsive reaction fuelled by the fast pace algorithms of engagement… The result of 20 years of Facebook are obvious in society, and unfortunately not in a good way…
Sharing is caring… Instead of reacting and regretting is my way…!
Peace… :victory_hand:

Radio is a hobby that allows people to experiment. You’ll get a lot of “expert” advice but the best way of finding out is trying things yourself.
Antenna wise, as a radio ham I’ve just thrown antennas up that I’m certain many “experts” would say are useless. For me, I’ll give it a go. If it works for me then that’s good enough. It may not be the best, but maybe the best I can do for now. You learn and try to improve.
If I listened to experts I’d never have gotten on the air as I’d be too busy trying to achieve their level of perceived perfection
